Release of the Overseas Certification PRO Mechanical Regulations (2023/1230/EU)

In June 2023, the "Machinery Regulation" was released by the European Commission. *A free seminar will be held in February 2024.

Original text: Machinery Regulation (2023/1230/EU) A significant change is that the current Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) has been updated to address many issues related to recent technologies (such as AI (Artificial Intelligence), cybersecurity (cyber resilience), and online sales) that it does not fully cover. This includes the addition of requirements and changes in the chapter structure to align with other CE marking directives. Furthermore, the purpose of transitioning to the Machinery Regulation (2023/1230/EU) is to address the technological advancements since the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) was amended on December 29, 2009. The current Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) has not kept pace with recent technologies (such as AI, cybersecurity, and online sales), leading to inconsistencies (inappropriateness, inconveniences, ambiguities) and issues such as inconsistent market surveillance. Improving these various problems is a major objective. *The original text is available on our website. https://tenderlove-pcb.biz/column/kikaikisoku2023/

Necessary steps for CE marking

The European Commission has established! Here are the six steps to obtain CE marking!

CE marking is not something to be done on your own; there are specific procedures established. There are six steps prepared, such as testing the product to confirm whether it complies with the "directive," affixing the CE mark, and creating an EC declaration of conformity. There are many cases where failing to comply with CE marking can lead to legal violations and penalties, so be sure to consult with a consultant or expert for confirmation. 【Steps (partial)】 1. Test the product to confirm whether it complies with the "directive." 2. Check the "product-specific requirements" and select "harmonized standards" or "other technical means" used to demonstrate compliance with the "essential requirements" of the directive. 3. Confirm the necessity of third-party evaluation by a "Notified Body" designated by the national authorities of EEA member countries and Turkey. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
